Among all the known products, sea buckthorn is second in terms of vitamin C. It is second only to rosehip and rosehip oil. This vitamin is indispensable for the health of the circulatory system. It reduces the likelihood of allergic manifestations and, together with vitamin E, has a positive effect on the quality of vision and vascular health.

All B vitamins are active participants in the processes of the production of enzymes and hormones.They took responsibility for the normal functioning of the digestive and nervous systems, as well as for the beauty and health of hair, nails and skin.

Vitamin K provides healthy kidney function, helps to avoid subcutaneous hemorrhage and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. When losing weight

In sea buckthorn oil, there is fatty palmitoleic acid, which can be found only in this product and macadamia oil. But in the latter it is so small that it can not be compared with sea buckthorn. Once in the body, this acid quickly takes on its work - it begins to burn fats. It burns unfortunate fat deposits in the abdomen and does not allow new ones to accumulate.

The action of antioxidants and vitamins in sea buckthorn oil actively promotes not only weight loss, but also rejuvenation. You can take oil in its pure form, half a teaspoon once a day, increasing the dose by half every week to get to the dining room. Then pour into a glass container and insist in a dark place for a month. Then this ready-made miracle remedy should be drunk on a tablespoon in the morning and in the evening. But it only works with the healthy functioning of the excretory systems. If there are problems with them, alas - the oil is contraindicated for oral use. The excretory systems of the body include the organs of the genitourinary system and the liver. It is with the help of them that all substances after processing by the body are removed from it.

But this does not put a ban on outdoor use. You can do anti-cellulite massages and body wraps with oil. True, with regular procedures, the skin turns orange. You can reduce the amount of added oil or use it only in winter, when no one sees open areas of the body.

Sea buckthorn oil in medicine

With diabetes

In diabetes mellitus, the protective functions of the body weaken, there is a constant lack of vitamins, the digestive system worsens, and skin problems appear. Regarding the use inside, diabetics need to be very careful with the oil and drink it only strictly as directed by the doctor. The fact is that for healthy people, sea buckthorn is a wonderful preventive measure against diabetes. And in people who already have an ailment, it can cause jumps in blood sugar levels and affect the functioning of the pancreas.

Outwardly, it can be used without anyone else's instructions, using compresses in oil on damaged skin, on wounds. Cells will recover faster, pain will go away.

You can lubricate the oral cavity with oil for stomatitis or rinse your mouth with an aqueous solution. It is often recommended to replace water with saline or some anti-inflammatory and antiseptic rinse medication.

Important: The glycemic index of sea buckthorn is 30 units.

With pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas and a violation of its functions. Sea buckthorn oil is useful for a diseased gland with the following qualities:

  • relieves inflammation;
  • stimulates the recovery of diseased cells and inflamed tissues;
  • creates protection against harmful effects;
  • kills microbes;
  • normalizes and regulates fat metabolism, preventing the formation of cholesterol deposits;
  • relieves pain;
  • eliminates cramping;
  • strengthens the body;
  • moderately relaxes stool.

Despite such a number of positive aspects, sea buckthorn oil can also cause damage to the pancreas.

The fact is that it is made on the basis of sunflower or other fatty vegetable oil.In diseases of the pancreas, fats are difficult to break down, and a large number of them create an extra load, which a weakened organ can not cope with.

To avoid unpleasant consequences, you need:

  • buy only high-quality certified oil in drugstores;
  • do not drink oil during exacerbation of pancreatitis;
  • take no more than 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

With gastritis

Drinking sea buckthorn oil for the treatment of gastritis is better in spring and autumn, when the disease worsens. It is necessary to drink it in the morning and in the evening on a teaspoon surely half an hour before a meal. It happens that the specific taste of the oil causes a gag reflex, and its intake becomes a real problem. In such cases, it is allowed to dilute the oil in 50 ml of sweet warm water. In the first days of admission, bitterness in the mouth and heartburn may be observed, but this should not be a reason for canceling treatment.

With exacerbations, oil is drunk for a month, and for prevention - only 10 days. You need to repeat the course every six months.

Sea buckthorn oil should not be taken orally if there are acute inflammatory processes in the gallbladder and bile ducts, gallstone disease, hepatitis, acute pancreatitis.

For the intestines

Sea buckthorn oil eliminates inflammation on the intestinal mucosa, heals wounds and ulcers, improves peristalsis, helps restore microflora, and kills pathogens, even Helicobacter pylori. All these listed qualities help him to normalize the intestines when taken orally and rectally in the form of suppositories.

A doctor’s consultation is required, because even a small overdose of sea buckthorn oil is fraught with diarrhea and dehydration, which can be aggravated if the intestines are sick.

For constipation

When ingested, sea buckthorn oil relaxes the stool, but not everyone can not always drink it. If this is contraindicated, then you can use sea buckthorn candles or make enemas with oil. After introducing the candle, you need to lie on your side and not get up for at least an hour so that it works well. An enema is recommended to be done with the addition of a teaspoon of oil per 200 ml of warm water and preferably at night.

With colitis

People who experience intestinal colitis know that this ailment is incurable. You can alleviate your condition only by adhering to proper nutrition and periodically removing symptoms with medications.

Sea buckthorn oil can reduce the frequency of exacerbations. In this case, its benefit and use is similar to that of other bowel diseases. It is necessary to take it, as mentioned above, only after the approval of the treating gastroenterologist.

For the liver

Sea buckthorn oil has seven beneficial liver properties:

  1. The product improves metabolic processes within the body, restores lipid metabolism and the synthesis of fatty acids.
  2. Vitamin C and phospholipids contribute to the active regeneration of hepatocytes.
  3. Oil normalizes the production of bile and pancreatic enzymes, which has a beneficial effect on all organs of the gastrointestinal tract.
  4. Phytoncides relieve inflammation and help the liver tissue recover.
  5. The liver serves as a filter for the body, retaining all toxins and toxins in itself, and sea buckthorn oil cleans it itself from this “garbage”.
  6. Often the liver is affected by parasites, for example, hepatic lamblia. The tannin components in the composition of sea buckthorn destroy parasites in the liver and intestines.
  7. The oil has a strong choleretic effect, which prevents bile from stagnating.

Sea buckthorn oil can provoke the formation of stones in the gallbladder and its ducts due to the very large amount of tannins. It can lead to hypervitaminosis, which is dangerous for the liver, and excessively increase the production of enzymes, which will irritate the mucous membranes. Therefore, you first need to go to a hepatologist or gastroenterologist, and only then, if he gives the go-ahead, take 1 teaspoon oil in the morning on an empty stomach.

With hemorrhoids

With hemorrhoids, sea buckthorn oil quickly relieves pain and gives a feeling of comfort. It speeds up the healing process of wounds and cracks and helps to restore dilated vessels, does not allow serious varicose veins of the intestine to develop. The intestinal motility improves, the condition of its mucous membrane, the work of the muscle wall is stabilized. All this can be achieved with ordinary rectal suppositories based on sea buckthorn oil or simply by lubricating the affected areas directly with pure oil.

But in no case should you use this method of treatment if there is intestinal bleeding, intestinal oncology, thrombosis in the hemorrhoidal focus (node) or wounds have already become very large in area.

With cholecystitis

With cholecystitis, sea buckthorn oil relieves inflammation from the mucous membrane of the diseased gallbladder. If the disease managed to damage the tissues, then the oil will accelerate their regeneration. But it can only be drunk during periods of exacerbation of cholecystitis. Then it is strictly contraindicated, because it provokes the formation of stones in the gallbladder.

If there are disorders in the work of other organs of the digestive system, the oil must be postponed until cured.

For burns

Sea buckthorn, like any other oil, can not be applied immediately to burnt skin. First you need to treat the burn according to simple rules:

  1. Sterilize the damaged area with water.
  2. Then cool this place and, if necessary, rinse and treat it further; if the burn is chemical, then the effect of the chemical must be neutralized.
  3. Lubricate the skin around the burn area with an aqueous solution of iodine or hydrogen peroxide.

And only then, when the main inflammation subsides, in two days, you can apply pure sea buckthorn oil with a thin layer to the burn site. This will speed up the healing process and minimize the chance of a scar.

Immediately apply oil to burns is impossible, because it creates a dense impermeable film, which prevents the high temperature from "leaving" the burned place. From this, the skin condition at the burn site will only worsen and, most likely, a scar will remain.

From snoring

The beneficial substances contained in sea buckthorn oil have a very beneficial effect on all mucous membranes in the human body. Improved blood circulation in the smallest vessels and capillaries of the nasal mucosa provides easier breathing. This can make snoring less or less. Oil can be taken orally or instilled into the nose.

With sinusitis

For sinusitis, the nose must first be thoroughly washed with clean water, then rinsed with saline and only then dripped with 3 drops of sea buckthorn oil in each nostril. Then clamp the nostrils and keep it for at least 15 minutes.

You can also make inhalations over boiling water with oil for at least half an hour and insert cotton swabs into the nostrils for 30 minutes.

Sea buckthorn oil is very effective for sinusitis: it improves breathing, relieves swelling, kills bacteria, and enhances the outflow of mucus. There are no contraindications to such use of the oil, except for personal intolerance and allergies.

With angina

For tonsillitis and other sore throats, for example, tonsillitis, with a cotton swab on a skewer, you need to lubricate the tonsils with pure sea buckthorn oil. You can gargle with warm water with the addition of oil. If you do not drink sea buckthorn oil, but only treat the throat, then there are no contraindications, except for allergies.

For inhalation, you need to take 1 teaspoon of oil per 200 ml of boiling water.

When gargling, 1 teaspoon goes for 1 cup of water.

With stomatitis

Sea buckthorn oil very successfully fights stomatitis due to its powerful antibacterial effect. It helps both children and adults. Need a cotton swab dipped in oil to treat the entire oral cavity at least 5 times a day.

The pain will become weaker after the first such procedure. If there are large mouth sores, then they need to apply a piece of bandage soaked in oil for 10-15 minutes.For children, this option is not suitable: they can swallow a compress. After treatment, you can not eat or drink for half an hour so that the oil is absorbed as much as possible into the mucous membrane of the oral cavity.

Since this is an external treatment, there are no contraindications, except for intolerance and allergies. But some small amount of oil still enters the body, so it is better to refrain from such a treatment if there is a problem of diarrhea at the time of treatment or it easily occurs.

With dermatitis

When dermatitis in children is not recommended to use sea buckthorn oil, as they are more susceptible to allergic reactions, especially with damaged and inflamed skin.

Adults, in parallel with traditional treatment, can apply oil to areas of the skin that suffer from dermatitis. It can be applied in its pure form, but it is better for allergy sufferers to mix 1: 4 with another vegetable oil - neutral, for example, sunflower, olive or linseed. The fact is that sea buckthorn oil is very biologically active and more often than other traditional medicines causes allergies.

Alternatively, you can still mix two parts of oil with one part of propolis and make compresses with this mixture.

With herpes

Sea buckthorn oil helps with cold sores on the lips and genitals. It kills bacteria, suppresses the virus, strengthens the body's defenses, accelerates tissue regeneration and relieves inflammation, eliminates pain and itching.

Elementary use: with a cotton swab in oil, completely cover up the place affected by herpes. If it’s the genitals, it’s better to just apply a compress for half an hour. If these are lips, then you can constantly refresh the layer of oil.

If you carry out the treatment at home yourself, then you must first clean the vagina from the discharge with a wet cotton swab. Then the same swab soaked in sea buckthorn oil, placed in the vagina for 20-30 minutes. When the doctor conducts the procedure, he also lubricates the neck itself with oil, but it is impossible to get there at home, which makes the processing efficiency somewhat reduced.

Sea buckthorn candles, used for a variety of women's problems, have proven themselves well. They are introduced in a prone position and are held for about half an hour. The course is usually two weeks. With this treatment, active healing begins only after the end of the procedure after a few days.

Sea buckthorn actively fights even with staphylococci and trichomonads. In such diseases, oil treatment is carried out along with douching with decoctions of calendula or chamomile.

To treat the vagina, you can use an ointment based on sea buckthorn oil. Boil the mixture over medium heat for 20 minutes, then cool and apply.
